Pagham is a small seaside town that tends to be quieter than neighbouring Bognor with a natural lagoon and a long shingle beach providing opportunities for watersports.

Pagham Harbour is the smallest of the Solent harbours and its combination of salt marsh, mudflats, reed beds and shingle beach make it the perfect environment for the rare migratory birds that flock to the Local Nature Reserve. So if you like bird watching, it doesn’t get much better than Pagham.

Pagham Beach, to the west of Bognor, has a large shingle based beach with a well reviewed Beach Café and an amusement arcade. The local water is especially popular with windsurfers and kite surfers, and Pagham Yacht Club (which is located on the beach road) organises yacht races on Wednesday and Friday evenings, creating a gently moving landscape for you to sit and enjoy. The Little London Tea Shop on Pagham Road is a lovely place serving tea, cake and scones and other dainty items until 3pm most days. Or for something more substantial, The Lamb Inn is also highly recommended, with its oak beams and open fire creating a lovely ambience.
