Bognor Regis is a delightful seaside town. It is officially one of the sunniest places in the UK and its vast sandy beaches are bordered by a long esplanade that stretches for nearly three miles.
One of the biggest attractions is Hotham Park, right in the centre of town, which has plenty to entertain the youngsters such as a crazy golf course, a miniature railway and a boating lake. It also hosts several major events over the year, including Proms in the Park, a Country Fair and the South Downs Music Festival. There are many good places to eat and drink here, especially down the Esplanade and along the High Street, with fresh locally-caught fish featuring on many menus. The famous Bognor Pier juts out from the esplanade and provides the launch pad for the hotly contested annual International Bognor Birdman competition.
